The 135th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) opened on April 15. The reporter learned from the China Foreign Trade Center that the number of exhibitors in this Canton Fair reached 29,000, including 28,600 in export exhibitions and 680 in import exhibitions.

According to reports, this Canton Fair has introduced new trade formats and set up a cross-border e-commerce comprehensive test area and an overseas warehouse display area on a trial basis for the first time, covering an area of 3,000 square meters. The online platform focuses on promoting 165 cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones.

At the current Canton Fair, the import exhibition area was 30,000 square meters, with 680 international companies participating, and their origins expanded to 50 countries and regions, of which 64% were companies from countries co-building the “Belt and Road”.

As of April 13, 144,000 overseas buyers from 215 countries and regions have pre-registered, of which the United States has increased by 21.4%, OECD countries have increased by 13%, and Middle Eastern countries have increased by 24.7%, jointly building the "Belt and Road" The country grew by 45.9%, and the RCEP countries grew by 15.5%. 288 leading companies and industrial and commercial institutions confirmed their participation in the conference, an increase of 21.5% compared with the same period last year.
