A metal injection mold is a tool specifically used in the metal injection molding process. 3.Injection Molding Process: The metal injection molding process involves heating the metal material to a liquid state and then injecting it into the mold cavity at high pressure. After the metal fills the mold cavity, it is cooled to solidify into shape. Compared with plastic injection molding, metal injection molding requires higher injection pressure and tighter temperature control.
4.Cooling: Metal injection molds also contain channel systems for cooling the metal, usually water or other cooling media. The cooling process is critical to controlling the size and performance of metal parts.
5.Ejection: After the metal part has solidified, the mold is opened and the part is pushed out of the mold cavity by an ejection mechanism.
Metal injection molds are usually used to produce metal parts that require high strength, high precision and complex shapes, such as automotive parts, electronic equipment casings, aerospace parts, etc. Although metal injection molding has higher costs and technical requirements, it provides high-quality, high-precision and high-performance molding solutions suitable for various application fields.
